This session, titled "Hot Topics in Neuroradiology: Imaging of Neurodegenerative Diseases," brings together a panel of experts to delve into the latest advancements and challenges in the field of neuroradiology, particularly focusing on neurodegenerative diseases.

The panelists will include: 1. A dementia neurologist. She will provide insights into the clinical aspects of neurodegenerative diseases, particularly dementia, discussing how imaging aids in diagnosis and monitoring the progression of these conditions.

2. A neuroradiologist with expertise in deep brain stimulation. This specialist will explore the role of imaging in deep brain stimulation (DBS) therapy, a revolutionary treatment for various neurological conditions, including Parkinson's disease and essential tremor. The discussion will focus on how neuroradiology supports the precise targeting and effectiveness of DBS.

3. A radiologist with expertise in neurodegenerative diseases. This panelist will discuss the imaging findings in the different neurodegenerative diseases and how imaging aids in the diagnosis.

  • classify different types of dementias based on clincial and imaging findings
