A joint neuro-ophthalmology/headache session, starting with an approach to typical and atypical presentations of optic neuritis, followed by tips and tricks for identifying common and uncommon causes of diplopia. We will finish the morning with a session on presentations and management of idiopathic intracranial hypertension and spontaneous intracranial hypotension.

Learning Objectives:

  • Develop an approach to common neuro-ophthalmology presentations encountered in an adult or pediatric general neurology practice.
  • Review atypical features of optic neuritis.
  • Explore a wide range of differential diagnoses for diplopia.
  • Discuss features of intracranial hypertension and hypotension and strategies for diagnosis.
