"Parkinson's Disease 101: From Diagnosis to Advanced Therapies" is a comprehensive educational journey that aims to equip neurology residents and general neurologists with essential and updated knowledge about Parkinson's disease. This course delves into the fundamental aspects of Parkinson's disease, covering epidemiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis, and differential diagnosis in the first session. In the second session, participants will explore the intricacies of managing both motor and non-motor symptoms through pharmacological interventions. The third session will take participants beyond traditional medications, introducing advanced therapies such as Deep Brain Stimulation, continuous dopaminergic infusion, and emerging approaches offering insights into cutting-edge treatments and their potential impact on Parkinson's patients. Throughout the course, we will also analyze challenging cases, providing participants with the opportunity to apply their knowledge and problem-solving skills in real-world scenarios.
