This course is aimed at Pediatric Neurologists (Academic & Community) and Pediatric Neurology residents. The goal of the session is to learn from experts in the field of neuro-ophthalmology about this challenging part of our field. We will cover eye movement abnormalities, visual disturbances, as well as optic nerve issues. We hope to provide pearls of wisdom from these experts for our attendees to take home and apply to their practice.

Learning Objectives:

Discuss the methods used in "vision therapy" and how to counsel families about its utility in mild traumatic brain injury and other developmental conditions
Describe the characteristics of worriesome nystagmoid eye movements in infants and contrast these with eye movements that are benign
Understand how abnormal head positioning can relate to neuro-ophthalmological abnormalities
Outline the up-to-date techniques used to diagnose optic nerve edema
