Course
This course aims to review the utility of various imaging modalities in the diagnosis of neuromuscular disorders, with a focus on neuromuscular ultrasound. Characteristic findings of entrapment and inflammatory neuropathies and myopathies on neuromuscular ultrasound will be reviewed. The utility of MRI in the evaluation of suspected hereditary myopathies, with a focus on the pediatric age group, will be illustrated. Lastly, we will review the role of point of care neuromuscular ultrasound as an adjunct in the evaluation of neuromuscular diaphragmatic weakness.
