This session is designed for Pediatric Neurologists (Academic & Community) as well as Pediatric Neurology Residents. The fundamental goal is to explore cutting edge issues in our field. These will range from environmental impact, to equity diversity and inclusivity in the field of Pediatric Neurology, to novel methods of thinking about our clinical approaches to our patients.

Learning Objectives:

Reflect on the inequalities that are still present in Academic Pediatric Neurology and learn mechanisms to counteract these
Understand the impact that climate change is having on children with neurological disorders
Discuss the pharmacological underpinnings of psychedelic medications and their potential utility in a variety of pediatric neurological and psychiatric disorders
Understand the concept of "predictive processing" and how this paradigm-shifting theory can be used to see cognitive disorders, functional neurological disorders, and mental health conditions in a new light
